Professor Jiangping Hu earned his B.Sc. in Technical Physics from Peking University in 1994, followed by an M.Sc. from the Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in 1997, and a Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2002. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles, from 2002 to 2004 before joining Purdue University, where he was appointed Assistant Professor (2004–2008) and later Associate Professor. Since 2010, Professor Hu has served as a Research Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Physics, CAS. He currently holds the position of Deputy Director at the Institute of Physics, CAS, and is affiliated with the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research interests encompass strongly correlated electron systems, superconductivity, topological quantum phenomena, and cold atomic systems.
